Hey DEADHEADS. I just wanted to say something really quick. I'd like to show my thanks and appreciation to two people that inspired me and made me want to share my appreciation for George Romero's movies, in particular DAWN OF THE DEAD. Those two people are Norman England and Matt Blazi. When the internet was young, I found their websites and discovered that they loved DAWN OF THE DEAD in the same way that I do and they showed me that any person could go to the filming locations from the movie and they showed me that there was a world out there full of cool collectibles related to this fantastic movie.
Norman's website is: http://www2.gol.com/users/noman/
Matt's website was at: http://www.wgonzombiewatch.com/
That domain name and site is currently inactive, but his site has now been reformulated in a new home at: http://www.dawnofthedead.co.uk/
These guys showed me the world of fandom associated with DAWN OF THE DEAD. I loved these two websites and still reference them to this day from time to time. As a result of seeing their websites, I decided to visit the movie's filming locations, I decided to start my own memorabilia collection. Then years later I got on Facebook and started the various groups that I administrate there and I began to do what they did in a new way with this new type of media and social interaction. I share my experiences, going to locations, I share my collectibles, and through that I hope to keep enthusiasm high and the appreciation of this movie and the other George Romero movies that I enjoy and love going strong. I do the things that I do to inspire others like these two guys inspired me. So there it is, I thank them in the most sincere way possible. Anyway, I just thought I should give them a shout out. Thanks guys.
Stay Scared,
Larry D.
