The DAWN OF THE DEAD Library Music Revealed

I will be posting all the information you ever wanted to know about the library music used in DAWN OF THE DEAD. I will post pictures of the albums, post detailed information about each album, and post detailed information about each track used in the movie and where to find it in the movie. All information contained here refers to the U.S. Theatrical Cut of the movie. Additional info and tracks used in the Extended Cut of the movie will be provided and stated as such after all the U.S. Theatrical track information is listed for each album. I have done this in a way that can be understood by anyone in a simple manner using the information gathered together by the creator of the DAWN OF THE DEAD - Ultimate Soundtrack website at: http://www.bookofthedead.ws/dotd/

This blog will help anyone to understand exactly what is on each library music album and where to find it quickly in the movie. I did this so that I could add a description to each album individually without cross referencing multiple pages and documents found elsewhere and to clear up any misinformation out there on this subject. The GOBLIN music used in the movie will NOT be covered since this is only about the library music used in the film. Maybe I will cover it's use in the film at a later date. I hope you enjoy this.

Of course this project and the DAWN OF THE DEAD Ultimate Soundtrack could never have been done without the pioneering research and work of Christian Stavrakis. Chris started the ball rolling with the discovery and posting of the original cue sheets that were used during the creation of the sound mix for the film. Chris also gathered together much of the original library LPs and cobbled together the first real digital version of an Ultimate Soundtrack. He was a true innovator. Thank you so much for all your hard work and effort Chris.

I would also like to thank Darren (Boogiejuice) and Rob the creator of The DAWN OF THE DEAD Ultimate Soundtrack Project for all of their hard work. Rob broke down the entire movie into sound clips for identification and spent an enormous amount of time on his website which has been invaluable to me in making these blog posts. Darren and Rob also posted clips of these tracks on YouTube for everyone to hear. Thank you so much guys. Your work is appreciated.
